This first step involves actually going into the store. I know I love to avoid shopping at the store, but this makes the confusion of even where to start quite easy.
If you’ve never had color, never worn foundation, or feel like you’re wearing the wrong shade, my best advice to you is to get color in a store. I find that Sephora is a good place to start because of the amount of brands they have in store. You will want to paint with several bases (I do 3-4)!
If you don’t have a local Sephora representative, go to a makeup store (MAC does a great job of this) and let them find you. I find that Ulta can be very hit or miss in this case, so I use them as a last resort.
